Shortcomings of High Fructose Corn Syrup production with Corn Starch

The traditional high fructose corn syrup is mainly made of starch. In corn starch processing line, corn is first soaked in high concentration sulphurous acid, however the sewage discharged is seriously beyond regulation. Hence China and other developed countries no longer give an official to 10-15 ton corn starch plants. The reason why environment assessment disapproves business license is that sewage is not allowed to be discharged.

Requirements of High Fructose Syrup Line:

Moisture in Crude corn is within 14-15%, the fineness of finished products is 70-80 mesh. Byproducts include 2% husks, 8% germ and fine flour. As dry milling processing line outputs 20% fine flour, 65-70% 68-70mesh finished flour is used in syrup producing. The statistics may change due to different corn quality.
